The challenge of establishing a Biblical Languages program at Houston Baptist University brought us to Houston from Edinburgh, Scotland and keeps us here most of the year. As a missionary to the educationally challenged - to those in the West that think they got some, and to those in impoverished settings that need some - I ask that you pray for the educationally challenged. May Mimi and I, and all of our efforts, be used by God as tools to transform the lives of many by His renewing of their minds. Our work in the American evangelical spiritual ghetto is different than our work in the slums of East Africa. The poverty is spiritual and intellectual. I often get stuck wondering if we, modern evangelicals here in the West, are more spiritually arrogant than we are spiritually ignorant. I'm not sure....
