Achitha John, our top HBU graduate this May in Biblical Languages, is on her way this fall to Princeton with a full academic scholarship.  Our God is so very good!

I well remember first meeting Achitha in an HBU Old Testament Survey class a few years ago.  I was teaching another section of a class required of all HBU students, and skeptical that much good was going on day after day.  But then, after class, a young lady approached me with a good question.  Many more followed.

As soon as she was able to schedule a new major, Achitha began her studies in Hebrew and then Greek.  I enjoyed watching this dear soul soak up all that she could as she sought to better read Scripture in hopes of ministering more effectively.

I fondly remember conversations about graduate schools and Achitha's strong desire to get the best training available in biblical studies.  Nothing short of her best effort was put forth in everything involved - classwork, homework, and in the long graduate school application process.  I think that my greatest joy was in watching Achitha set her sights high and go for it!

Now, what sweet memories God has given me in watching this little sister express her devotion to our Lord with all of her mind and with all of her heart.

Thank you Lord, for Achitha, and for granting the desires of her heart.

Please pray with me that Achitha will continue to know God better as she enjoys him more day by day.
