Justin Hyde met HaMoreh's founder Dr. Jamie Johns as a biblical language student at Houston Baptist University in 2003. Justin was compelled and inspired by Jamie's vision for resourcing leaders, learners, and learning centers in East Africa, and as Jamie's vision developed into HaMoreh Ministries, Jamie asked Justin to become one of the founding board members. Justin served as a board member for several years, but stepped back from active board involvement in 2007 to plant Christ Church in Brenham, Texas. During this brief hiatus, Justin travelled to Kenya, taught at Kenya Baptist Theological College, preached in multiple churches in and around Nairobi, and continued to develop frienships with local pastors and teachers whom Christ Church would support. When Jamie resigned as Executive Director in 2011, Jamie recommended that the board ask Justin to rejoin the board and to step in as the ministry's new Director.

Justin now serves as the Executive Director of HaMoreh as well as Lead Pastor of Christ Church in Brenham, Texas. He studied Biblical Languages at Houston Baptist University, Historical Theology at Oxford University, and is currently pursuing his M.A. in Religion at Reformed Theological Seminary. Justin lives in Chappell Hill, Texas with his wife Brandi, their son Jonas (7), daughter Betty (5), and son Henry (1).
