Although Chris Bryant (pictured left) is an experienced teacher by trade, beginning next month, he will be teaching an entirely different kind of student, a different sort of subject, and in a different setting than is typical for him. After teaching in various capacities over the past 10 years, Chris is embarking on a completely new journey as he pursues the opportunity to move to Kenya to teach Christian leaders for the next nine months.

God has given Chris the ability and the desire to teach and we are very thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Chris in helping Christian leaders throughout Africa. We also praise God for already providing Chris with the funding to cover the expenses of his extended African mission. God is faithful in both his calling and his sending!

Chris will be teaching English classes and Bible classes at Kenya Baptist Theological College and Daystar University in the Nairobi, Kenya area. His students will be both church and community leaders from all over the African continent, hungry and thirsty for the Word of God so they can share it with others.

In addition to teaching, Chris will be helping some Kenyan faculty and students minister in their own communities. He will come alongside them as they share the gospel, serve the hungry, clothe the needy, and help the handicapped in the slums, orphanages, churches, and streets surrounding Nairobi.

Chris is also looking forward to documenting his experiences through video and photography to help HaMoreh share the impact of our work and invite others to join in.

Chris is set to leave for Kenya early November, 2010 and will remain there on mission until late July, 2011. Please pray for Chris in the following areas over this next year:

• Preparations for his departure and for his schedule while overseas
• Spiritual and physical demands that his service in Kenya will require
• Health and safety while in foreign place
• Diligence in his class preparation and clarity in his teaching
• A spirit of encouragement to those he will support in their ministries
• Creativity and delight in his videography and photography projects
